Inquisitor Alley After "Action" Report - Inquisitor Xerxes and Retinue vs. ???

Battle Report – 23/6-15

After many weeks of travelling through the warp, stowed away on a void ship, inquisitor Xerxes had finally arrived at his destination:  The Agri-world Ferobus. Xerxesinvestigations had led him to this remote corner of the galaxy, where he expected the agents of the ruinous powers to be at work. It was his job to stop that kind of work, preferably before it even came to fruition.
Xerxes intellignece proposed a location where important data about the enemy could be retrieved, though it was expected to be under heavy guard. hus, the inquisitor gathered his most loyal and experienced agents, and made planetfall.

Xerxes had expected resistance from the moment their feet touched ground, but he now found the area to be eerily silent. A small 'bleep' from his auspex told Xerxes that their objective was close. The small squad started advancing, cautiously, through the rocky terrain.

The objective was right around the corner. Sister Ann readied a smoke grenade, and started counting to three.
"In the name of the Emperor!", the four of them shouted, as they jumped around the corner prepared to blast anything which might move.
Except - Nothing moved.

Ahead of them was a data-pylon, no doubt their objective. Somewhat confused by the lack of resistance, the inquisitor messaged for pickup over the vox-com.
With the data secured, the inquisitor had retrieved information about the enemy, that would allow his squad to strike into the very hearth of their opperations. Thus, the mission was a confirmed succes, though Xerxes found the lack of hostility somewhat suspicious.

I had scheduled a game of Pulp Alley with a friend tonight, but we sadly had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. I consider that a victory for the brave inquisitors first outing. Hopefully he'll get to go head to head with the actual enemy soon enough.

(For some very nice, actual, AAR's of Pulp Alley used to play 40k-ish skirmish games, checkout Sho3box' blog. Theres some good stuff, with loads of pretty pictures there)
