Profiling - Part 2: Slaaneshi Intermezzo

The silhouette was illuminated by the thunder. It stood in stark contrast to the burning sky behind it. Borges picked himself up from the mud he had been thrown into. Strangely, the silhouette didn't react to this.
Neither did it when Borges went for his war-hammer, which lay a couple of feet from where he had fallen.
Only when Borges had regained his weapon and posture, the silhouette reacted - nodding his way.
A melodious voice rang out from beneath the featureless helmet:

"Let us resume"

Having recently finished painting up another Warrior of Chaos for my growing sideproject - An undivided warband that will hopefully at some point in the future turn into 4 different warbands: One for each of the Chaos Gods, I thought I'd write a post to showcase the mini and an Open Combat Profile.

To start of with, I imagine what kind of character I want the miniature to represent. I wrote out the above short piece of 'fiction' to set a mood. This guy is obviously a martially focused fighter - Having fallen to Slaanesh worship as the perfection of his art overtook everything else in his life. Thus, the profile will have to reflect that.

Equipment:
Two Hand Weapons (A Sword and a Mace)
Traits:
Ambidextrous, Evade, Feint and Taunt
Cost to Hire: 31 Renown

I've started out by giving the profile quite decent fighting stats. A 6 in ATK is quite a bit, since I tend to put the average fighter at around 3. This way, with dual wield, he can allocate 4 ATK to one of his attack, and get to roll two combat dice. Ambidextrous allows him to be a bit more strategical with how he allocates his ATK when attacking multiple enemies - In particular, he will be very powerful against fighters with a DEF of 2 - allowing him to either roll 3 dice (5 ATK) against one and 1 against another, or 2 dice against two targets - Thus surpassing the normal max of 3 dice per attack. Quite a dangerous foe.
His MND of 4 represents his ability to cheat or outsmart the average fighter - Again, the score is dependant on context, seeing as I typically stat regular soldiers as 2 or 3 MND.
Evade gives him a bit of mobility, allowing him to evade Free Strikes, and thus dart in and out of combat - Suitable for a finesse type of character, and Feint and Taunt allows him to trick and manipulate his opponents.

All in all - He should prove a quite dangerous fighter, but with a reliance upon trickery and mobility rather than pure brutal force.
I very much look forward to trying him out on the tabletop. Or, more likely, fighting against him, since my regular opponent tends to want to play the bad guys!
The profile is very straight forwards, simply going through the trait and equipment lists and applying what seemed suitable. However, with a little thinking outside the box, it is possible to use the Open Combat rules to create a wide variety of more exotic profiles - which I hope to demonstrate in a future post.

Cheers! And thanks for reading!
